Domaine Tissot Arbois Trousseau "Singulier" red 2016
93/100 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Luis Guttierez, juin 2019) : 93/100. The grapes for the 2016 Arbois Trousseau Singulier where hand-destemmed, and the wine needs very little sulfur. It's aromatic, floral, clean and fresh, with a juicy palate. It was raised in 600-liter barrels. It has a serious palate with fine-grained tannins, and the nose is super attractive and showy. Drink date 2019-2023
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Luis Gutierrez - déc. 2017) : 92+/100. Tissot's approach to sulfur with red grapes is different: never for Poulsard, but a little at the beginning (as he destems by hand, so a little is needed) and a little at bottling for Trousseau, and for Pinot Noir only after malolactic. The 2016 Arbois Trousseau Singulier is a crunchy vintage, with very aromatic red fruit, herbal and spicy, a little rustic and with the oak very nicely integrated. The palate is again elegant, focused and precise, following the house style. This is quite a big cuvée in red, with 9,000 bottles. Drink date 2018-2022.
