La Pousse d'Or, grand cru from Burgundy

La Pousse d'Or is established in the mythical village of Volnay, nestled on the sloping slopes of the magnificent Cote de Beaune, producing some of the most prestigious vin de Bourgogne grand cru.

The vineyard was created in 1954 but its origin goes back to the time of the Dukes of Burgundy, in 1100.

The vines are taken over in 1997 by the industrialist Patrick Landanger who, installed from there, investing there considerably and also modernizes his tool of winemaking and breeding. The Pousse d'Or has now, for some vintages, found its luster of yesteryear. The vineyard covers 18 hectares, entirely conducted in organic viticulture. A thorough soil work is carried out in order to aerate them and allow the King Pinot Noir, to express itself at best.

The breeding is done in the heart of the sumptuous cellars of the estate in the best oak barrels for 18 months, offering wines with a great aptitude to aging.
